Two Sundays ago, Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib strained a hip flexor against the Saints.
Last week, Talib didn’t play against the Jets after practicing on a limited basis only on Friday and being listed as doubtful. This week, Talib practiced on a limited basis all week, and he’s listed as questionable.
Despite the more encouraging classification, Talib currently is believed to be closer to not playing than playing.
As a result, the current expectation is that the Patriots won’t have Talib available when the Dolphins come to town. If Talib doesn’t play, New England will need extra help when covering Miami receiver Mike Wallace.
