Chiefs receiver Dwayne Bowe, officially listed as questionable with a groin injury, will play on Sunday — unless he doesn’t.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Bowe remains a game-time decision for Sunday’s game against the Browns.
As a result, it’s still too early to bank on Bowe playing, or to conclude that he won’t play.
Bowe has had a largely quiet season under coach Andy Reid and quarterback Alex Smith, after signing a big-money deal in the offseason. Still, the attention he commands helps open up the rest of the offense.
With a win, the Chiefs would start 2013 with four times as many victories as they had for all of 2012.
