Patriots right tackle Sebastian Vollmer exits with leg injury

Patriots right tackle Sebastian Vollmer was taken off the field via cart after suffering a right leg injury in Sunday’s game vs. Miami.

Vollmer was blocking on a running play when injured. While engaged in blocking, the back of Vollmer’s legs were rolled into by Dolphins defensive tackle Randy Starks, who was tackling Patriots running back Stevan Ridley.

An air cast was applied to Vollmer’s right leg after the injury.

The Patriots have ruled out Vollmer for the rest of the game.

The Patriot offensive line has had problems protecting Brady all season, and now this. The season just got worse.

Wow – yet another major starter lost. The Patriots may be a “no excuses, next man up” type of team but this is redonculous.

I know even some Patriots fans felt Belichick should have done more to shore up the team in the offseason but given this endless run of injuries (even Brady had his throwing hand fingers taped together) nothing he could have done in the offseason would have made too much of a difference.

Cool so we now have the excuse if Brady keeps sucking it up today. Always has to be an excuse and can’t ever be that he is struggling.

Peyton has 3 offensive line starters out so no Pats fans should try and use this as their excuse but they of course will since they refuse to ever accept Brady isn’t the QB Jesus that they think he is.

Don’t forget, Brady’s swollen injured hand too.

Wouldn’t you feel stupid for saying all of this if the Patriots wound up coming back from being down 17-3 to actually win?
