The tug of war between Bills coach Doug Marrone and running back C.J. Spiller is over.
And for a week, anyway, Marrone won.
Spiller is inactive for the Bills with an ankle injury, one he thought he could play through. He might be right, but the Bills are taking the cautious approach.
That might not do them any favors today against the Saints, but it could keep him healthier for the long haul.
