Terrelle Pryor comes out of the gate fast

Terrelle Pryor AP

Terrelle Pryor said last week he had a chance to play for his hometown Steelers, but wasn’t sure it was the best idea.

He’s immediately making them regret not working with him, as he took the first snap of the game for a 93-yard touchdown run, giving the Raiders a 7-0 lead after 19 seconds of football.

The Raiders quarterback got free in the middle and simply outran the Steelers secondary, a frankly embarrassing display, which was followed by a quick three-and out.

UPDATE 4:20 p.m. ET: Pryor’s touchdown was the longest run in Raiders history, eclipsing Bo Jackson’s 92-yarder against the Bengals in 1989 (and a 91-yarder against the Seahawks in 1987).

Maybe this will be one of the 2 losses in the 10-2 run the obnoxious Steelers fan was guaranteeing?

  2. steelersaregodsteam says: Oct 27, 2013 4:16 PM

That was an absolute fluke and anyone who knows football knows that it was.

Oh for heaven’s sake! I was standing on my head cleaning out a closet while listening to the Dolphins/Pats game. Just sat down and turned this on and we’re already down by 7. Swell.

I am enjoying the game. Steelers down by 14. I laugh at Steeler nation and the fair weather fan base. Refs handed the game to the Steelers last week.

Pryor’s good. If he could get a competent coaching staff to work with him instead of trying to replace him with stiffs like Josh Freeman, the sky’s the limit for this guy.

The immaculate reception was also a fluke steeler guy.

Suddenly that Kaepernick run against my Packers doesn’t feel so embarrassing…

  10. classyjacklambert says: Oct 27, 2013 4:36 PM

I don’t get the #ravensownthesteelers hashtag, how can the team that loses most of the time, own the other team?

  11. scoobies05 says: Oct 27, 2013 4:37 PM

and it being a fluke matters how?

    I TOLD YA.

    L – 5 for pittsburgh

  13. braceyourselffor12 says: Oct 27, 2013 4:43 PM

Hahaha that was reminiscent of Kaepernicks TD run against the Green Bay in the playoffs.

Cheers to the Silver & Black from across the Bay!

Great run but Bo’s were against first rate teams. This was only against the Stealers.

Anyone who saw the play knows there was no secondary to outrun. Clark bit on the fake, and once Pryor cleared the line of scrimmage, there was no one to outrun. Clark has got to stop biting on fakes, especially when there’s 10 men in the box.

Fluke? Teams take advantage of crappy defenses all the time! Steelers suck, so no fluke.

I wonder if those 6 rings make it easier for Steelers fans to stomach years like this where they are just terrible.

Or does it make years like this suck worse?

    Don’t worry.

I’m sure they’ll remove the 7 points upon further review of its flukiness.

With 1:55 left in the half, the Steelers have 52 yards of offense.

    Ya, what a fluke.

What do you want the QB to do? Line up in the backfield, take the handoff, hit the hole break 2 tackles and run to daylight? Your an idiot…

Too bad Spero Dedes is calling the game.

A boring sounding guy who never deserved a TV gig got to call that.

Also, bench Terrelle Pryor for fantasy football???

Why does God want people to hate Oakland???

  28. freshchorizo says: Oct 27, 2013 5:47 PM

Terrible defensive call by the steelers. They think they’re the steelers of old and got smoked on that play like they did against tbow in the playoffs.
