Report: Pacman threatened to “come and get” Jets’ David Nelson

AP

Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones reportedly made a threat toward Jets receiver David Nelson during Sunday’s game.

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that Jones told Nelson, “I’m going to find out where you live and come and get you.”

Jones admitted after the game that he had some words with Nelson during the game, but Jones made it sound like typical in-game trash talk, with Nelson talking just as much as Jones, and Jones pointing out that Nelson should have nothing to say because the Bengals were killing the Jets.

“He told me to shut the hell up. It was something like 35-6,” Jones told the Bengals’ website. “[Nelson] was playing dirty. He cut me like four times after the play. Thank God I took my medicine today, I guess, and I didn’t go off. Hopefully he’ll get fined. At least three fines. There were three real cheap shots after the play.”

The league office will likely review both Nelson’s alleged cheap shots and Jones’s alleged threat for potential disciplinary action.

  1. I doubt this will go anywhere but it would be interesting to see a player take out a restraining order on another player.

  2. Reggie Nelson physically stopped Pacman Jones from getting in david nelson’s @ss.

Pacman was 1 yard and 1 second away from attacking nelson.

Bengals high character team leader Reggie Nelson swooped in and shoved Pacman back away from the big mouthed, low character jets player.

  3. Add terroristic threats to his already ridiculous rap sheet and its amazing he’s able to keep his job. Goodell needs to step in with a heavy hand and make this diseased clown go away, once and for all.

  4. REMINDER:

Only three players pass for more yards than Andy Dalton and nobody passed for more touchdowns.

Oh…. and….. Dalton only played three quarters.

  5. “Thank God I took my medicine today, I guess, and I didn’t go off.”

Did you forgot to take your medication when you punched out that woman, tough guy?

    What a turd.

  6. Just sounds like typical trash talk, someone should test David Nelson if he really thought such a threat was serious. A condition of playing in the NFL is that you should be able to handle the same trash talk that you spew.

  7. In a later interview Pacman denied saying he would find out where Nelson lived…instead he said he would invite him out to a club and make it rain.

  8. This is absurd. Nelson only trying to get the heat off of him and his cheap shots all day. If Reggie Nelson weren’t there to stop Pacman on the field, that would have been a brawl. Eventually you’re going to get tired of someone throwing cheap shots your way all day long.

We have a JoeToronto sighting! He was in hiding because of denial after that seal beating the Bengals gave the Jets. He thought it was all a bad dream. But now that there’s a negative story out about the Bengals he’s on it like white on rice. He was cleared of the incident with the woman. Judge realized anyone who has beer poured on them and waved at their face is justified in defense. The judge saw the video and cleared Jones. That’s telling when a judge does that. Nice try though Joe. Maybe next time bud!

  10. You mean threats like Mike Tyson telling someone (don’t remember if it was Holyfield or Lewis) that he was going to eat his children??

Is this the Jets’ excuse for playing like doormats yesterday? We were all afraid Pacman was going to find out where we lived???

    Pffft.

  11. Typical Jets loser. Love to dish the trash talk out but when they are on the receiving end, they cry about it to the media. Grow a pair you wuss.

  12. I’m still waiting on the article where Rex is complaining about the Bengals running up the score. You know it’s coming. Rex didn’t say it yesterday but it’s coming for sure. Jets are blowhards when they’re winning but a pack of girl scouts when they’re losing. Say something slightly off and they go crying to their troop leader.

  13. I think we should all believe what Pacman says when he says he is the victim here and Nelson was clearly just being dirty and talking smack for NO REASON.

After all, Pacman is a fine upstanding individual who has never been in trouble and clearly has no anger issues at all. If I had kids I would love for Pacman to babysit them since he is such a good guy and all.

  14. wow quite your whinning jets fans – it’s trash talk that goes on every freakin game with every freakin team – your team sucks period

  15. “I think we should all believe what Pacman says when he says he is the victim here and Nelson was clearly just being dirty and talking smack for NO REASON.”

hmmm – reading comprehension an issue? Jones never said that nor did the article.

  16. “Remember the days of good sportsmanship?” When was that? History recalls the football players of old being tough physical men that were brutes and dirty, Rugby players from then and now still being Rugby players, heck even the soccer guys were pretty brutal in the past, especially if they were from Britain.

    Good sportsmanship? Good joke!

Scary thought: What exactly becomes of this man when he no longer has football?

    I don’t think he’ll be around to collect S.S. , well,
    if that’s still around then.

  18. This POS was involved in a shooting in Vegas that left a man who was showing up for work paralyzed. The idea he is walking on the street and playing the nfl, let alone not in jail is travesty. What a piece of crap..i don’t believe him for a second that he wasn’t serious with his threats

  19. I wonder if Joe Toronto loves anything nearly as much as he hates the Bengals.

What a poor pathetic wee man you are Joe… it’s hilariously sad.

Yes he was there but didn’t shoot anyone. The victim’s lawyer just did a money grab at the richest guy in the crowd. That’s all. No reason Pacman should have to pay for someone else shooting the guy.

  21. lesson of the day, careful who you cheap shot… I’m sure he is scared so he had to put that out there in case something happens…

WhoDey go get em’ pick 6 Pac

That’s the same defense used by someone who yells”Fire” in a crowded theater. “But I didn’t trample anyone”

how many of those commenting would want Pacman as a neighbor? I know that I wouldn’t..Larry Fitzgerald…anytime..enough said
***********************************************No one would want that turd as a neighbor, no one.

Not even the turds that defend him here.

  24. Who knew the Jets were a bunch of hot dogging dirty players that liked to cheat to win football games? What a classy organization that is a complete clown show run by a clown coach named Rex Ryan. Seeing them go do yesterday in flames was so delicious.

  25. If Nelson committed fineable offenses on video, its hard to take seriously any unverifiable allegations of threats he comes up with, as anything other than an effort to retaliate or mitigate against being fined. Maybe Corey White says that Thad Lewis threatened him too. Maybe all the defenseless receivers have been threatening Golson. This can be investigated privately by putting a mic on Jones’ future opponents but its not right to put something like this in the media that could easily be a lie. If Nelson is serious he can go to the cops and press charges that will give him criminal liability if false.

  26. “geniusry says: Oct 28, 2013 7:52 AM
Really? You think the league is going to investigate trash talking? Stop the wussification.”
    ============================================

Please tell me you’re smart enough to know the difference between trash talking and a threat to someone’s life.

  27. Pacman has more reason to come at Nelson cause “Snitches get stitches”. If it was anybody else but Adam Jones this would just be trash talk. This was a beat down of the Jets.

  28. mrsmell says: Oct 28, 2013 8:40 AM

I wonder what Richard Sherman would have said at this moment.
    ******************
Sherman would quote for Dickens or Tolstoy making Jones head explode due to actual brain cell use.

  29. Trash talking is part of the game. A stupid part of it, but part of it nonetheless.

No reason for any Jet player to be talking trash during this game. No Bengal player should have been talking trash either. If any, just point to the scoreboard. If I remember correctly, the Bengals had lost 4 or 5 straight to the Jets, so that probably played into it some.

To talk about another player’s family members or
threatening to come get them at another time is
    down right stupid!

Tough to prove he really said something like that
    though.

  30. He’s a problem & always will be, it just goes to show how out of touch the NFL is that they believe he’s rehabilitated & have him speaking to rookies.

Matt Flynn has had this game. I think Dalton is good but if you are going to shoot your mouth off get rdy to get bit in the butt. signed:

That’s the same defense used by someone who yells”Fire” in a crowded theater. “But I didn’t trample anyone”

    —————————-

    That’s a really dumb analogy.

For one, yelling fire in a crowded theater when there clearly is not one with the intent to cause havoc is completely illegal. Visiting a strip club on the other hand is not illegal. Nor is attending a strip club where somebody else shot another person.

  33. stony hands, that is a perfect analogy, you just missed it. Just because you’re not the person shooting/trampling doesn’t automatically mean you weren’t involved or responsible.

Did you really think my analogy had to do with whether or not it’s
illegal to visit a scrip club?

  34. The umps had a lot to do with the whole Bengals secondary playing angry, if you ask me.

There was a ridiculous call @ 10:40 in the 3rd when Newman and Iloka were flagged for ‘unnecessary roughness’ on Cumberland, without them actually touching him at all. They both played the ball and missed #87 completely, but the Jets still got the call.

I think at that point Adam Jones knew the Bengals were playing the Jets and the Zebras, and when (Jets) Nelson took a cheap shot at Jones, that lit the blue touch paper……..

  35. We noticed watching the game yesterday. There was a 2 yard dive up the middle and David Nelson chop blocks Pacman 20 yds away. Then he cheap shotted him and got called for the penalty. Hopefully they show a video of his dirty hits because he should be fined heavily for targeting a guys knees. Pacman isnt a good person but that doesnt give David Nelson the right to try to end his career.

  36. Dear Bengals Fans (Trolls)

You have a very nice team. You whipped the Jets beyond recognition.
    Enjoy.

Remember, the other 364 days you’re still in Ohio!

  37. saw this one coming. not the big ‘letdown’. that’s not what happened. cincy was a very good team playing at home coming into this game. though the jets are better than expected, they’ve got a ways to go. good game bengals. sorry things hadda get chippy; first on the field, then on here.
talking football with a fellow jet fan he commented about how we got beat by an avg,.qb. lol i thought we pretty much put that to rest yesterday!
