Sidney Rice doubtful to return with knee injury

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice left Monday night’s game against the St. Louis Rams in the second quarter and is doubtful to return.

Rice was injured on a pass in the end zone from Russell Wilson that was defended by cornerback Janoris Jenkins. Rice was slow to get up and was tended to by the training staff before heading to the locker room. The team announced he was doubtful to return to the game.

Rice went to Switzerland during training camp in August to have a procedure performed on his ailing knee. Rice said at the time it was a platelet-rich plasma treatment that he hoped would improve the feeling in his knee. It’s uncertain if the injury is to the same knee he received the treatment on.

Without Rice, Seattle will likely have to turn to Jermaine Kearse to step in to Rice’s role in the offense alongside Golden Tate and Doug Baldwin.

If the Seahawks don’t wisen up then the same can be said for Russell Wilson. This is ugly stuff from Seattle so far.

Time to give Rice the boot. Always injured; had one good year with Favre throwing him the ball

Yeah, this is the hawks stinker, every team has one.

I would like to see some passes out of the backfield to RB Christine Michael just to mix things up.

I’d like to see the Rams win off of Tate fumbling. Hate taunters. Grow up Golden and act like a man and leave the kiddie games at home.

Kudos to Pete for getting on Tate. What the hell is there to taunt about, Tate?

Also, the Rams play the ‘Hawks tough more often than not. We’re a 3-4 team, we’re not the Jags.

As a Hawk fan the protection is a major problem but its not new Chris Long and Quimn did the same thing 2 games last year. Bad football by Seattle here. Hated that Tate taught but loved the play

always liked sid the kid, though. it really would have been awesome to keep him and harvin, and have a decent qb to get them the ball with peterson taking hand offs.

    oh well.

Rice is the guy that cannot stay healthy. So glad the Vikes dumped him when they had the chance. Same with Harvin.
