Dolphins cheerleader website hacked by pornographers

There’s obviously a certain prurient interest when an NFL team dedicates a website to its cheerleaders.

But for some Dolphins fans who used their mobile devices this morning, it was a little more prurient than normal.

According to Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post, the website was hacked sometime in the last 24 hours, and users on mobile devices were redirected to a pornographic site.

“It was hacked without our knowledge,” team spokesman Harvey Greene said. “We learned about it earlier today. We were able to fix it. We’re going to continue to investigate how this happened.”

Apparently it didn’t affect computer-based browsing, so those of you on laptops and at work can continue to safely ogle the scantily clad Dolphins cheerleaders at your leisure, or order their swimsuit calendars and other officially licensed Dolphins gear.

How long did it take for somebody to notice?

  2. midwestsportstalk says: Oct 29, 2013 12:47 PM

Because people going to cheerleader website were there for the articles anyways.

That wasn’t the picture I was hoping to see with this article.

  4. lanman11 says: Oct 29, 2013 12:50 PM

Better question: How long did it take for someone to report it?

I hit the ‘Phinsider’ website this morning for my early morning read and ‘that stuff’ appeared on the phinsider too.

  13. blacknole08 says: Oct 29, 2013 1:43 PM

Wow really? Time to do some investigating…. for investigative purposes of course.

  14. dietrich43 says: Oct 29, 2013 1:43 PM

Did any of the cheerleaders have vids at the porn website?

  15. handsofsweed says: Oct 29, 2013 1:44 PM

First thing that popped into my head was “Whew!! I’m glad this didn’t happen to me bc there’s no way my girlfriend is gonna believe me when I tell her that I WASN’T on a porn site, despite what my browser history says.”

Knowing me, I’d forget to clear history and then have to rely on this classic response: “Uh, I was just trying to read about the wonderful charity work the Dolphin Cheerleaders do, when some a-hole hacked the site and led me to this porno crap.”

Thank God for PFT. You may have just saved me from a hell of a shrewing.

Referee’s making sure the patriots won on sunday was enough of a scew job for me.

LOL at “Referee’s making sure the patriots won on sunday was enough of a scew job for me.”

It’s not that your team is too incompetent & mistake prone to hold on to a 3 score lead or take advantage of Tom playing like crap for the majority of the game. No, it was totally the refs.

If something good or remotely interesting happened that was Dolphins-related, you had to know that Stephen Ross and Jeff Ireland had nothing to do with it………..

They found the lost ESPN The Magazine Kaepernick nudes…sporting the Dolphins cheerleading gear.

Dolphins’ website illegally accessed by computer whackers!

  27. venturasteeler says: Oct 29, 2013 3:13 PM

Team spokesman Harvey Greene says the website was hacked without our knowledge. What? So, normally your website is hacked with your knowledge?

  28. mackie66 says: Oct 29, 2013 3:14 PM

” We will fix it” maybe that was what Philbin was referring to when he said ” We will fix it” meaning the Dolphin Cheerleader web page and not the Dolphin football team?

  29. cantonbound13 says: Oct 29, 2013 3:14 PM

Since Ross bought the team everything has been a disaster.

  30. bhuggins9 says: Oct 29, 2013 3:47 PM

Who complained? The Dolphins will have more hits on their website than asses in the seats.

  31. thegreatgabbert says: Oct 29, 2013 4:43 PM

The self effacing chimp who cracked the code was quick to deflect credit for his accomplishment.
“I was just one of ten thousand tapping away at a keyboard, and happened to get lucky….”.

“It was hacked without our knowledge,”

    Well that’s a relief!

They should keep the link. It could offset the money they are wasting on Mike Wallace.

  35. footballer4ever says: Nov 2, 2013 1:40 PM

Wow! LOL….Censure rules here at pft more like nfl is run in a communistic kind of way. Shame on you all!
