When reports surfaced last year that the Gronkowski family had hired William Morris endeavor “to develop a TV show,” those reports quickly were shot down.
Regardless, a TV show has been developed.
According to Deadspin, it’s an animated show. And there’s a sizzle reel consisting of the Gronkowskis being the Gronkowskis, but no actual animation. A pair of guys named Henry Penzi and Wayne Carmona are reportedly pitching the show, and the plan is to put the pedal to the metal in the offseason.
The Gronkowskis consist of five brothers (Pats tight end Rob and two others with NFL experience) and patriarch Gordy. And someone from Family Guy could be on the writing team.
While the Gronks aren’t Italian, here’s hoping that the show has the same overall vibe as The Goomba’s.
