It’s power rankings time

Getty Images

With eight weeks in the books and several more weeks to go until the playoff picture comes into focus, it’s time to take a weekly look at the arrangement of teams from top to bottom without regard to division or conference.

Yes, it’s the power rankings.

So sit back, sip your coffee, eat your muffin, and otherwise hold off on getting started on that thing at work you don’t really want to do right now.

That thing at work you don’t really want to do will still be there in five minutes, along with all the other things you don’t really want to do, at work and elsewhere.

We’ll be here, too, and hopefully visiting PFT is yet to make the list of things you don’t want to do.

As a Colts fan, I’m actually surprised the Colts are ahead of the Broncos, despite the win. And the Chiefs may be undefeated, but they’ve been in really close games with mediocre teams. Denver will beat them twice.

pittsburgh, baltimore, and Green Bay should be lower.

If this is based on current projections, the Bears should be lower. Yes, they are the 2nd highest scoring team in the NFL, (no really!!) that was with Jay. And our defense has already given up 11 more pts than the 85 Bears ( sadly, really!!). At this rate we will go 6-10. We are now starting to pay for the YEARS of horrible Angelo drafts. Emery did a masterful job redoing the offense completely in less than 2 years, now he has to hopefully do the same with the defense.

I love the photo of Dexter McCluster used from his TD last week!
