When Peyton Manning took a day off last week, it quickly became a thing.

Broncos coach John Fox wants to make sure everyone’s prepared for the coming inactivity of his star quarterback.

The 37-year-old Manning’s among about a dozen veteran players who won’t participate in bye week practices Tuesday and Wednesday.

He’s not going to get a whole lot of reps the next two days, I’ll tell you that,” Fox said, via Mike Klis of the Denver Post.

Manning will be back in action next week when they’re preparing for their Nov. 10 game against the Chargers. But during the break, he’s going to be watching Brock Osweiler take a bunch of snaps, taking a well-deserved rest.
