A new injury for Gronkowski

As the question lingered regarding when Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski would be available to return to play, we consistently pointed out that the bigger question is when he’ll be injured again.

We have an answer.  It’s now.

The Patriots announced that Gronkowski was limited in practice with a hamstring injury.  The report also lists Gronkowski as having a back and forearm injury.

Despite the cocktail of injuries, a source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that Gronkowski is fully expected to be able to play on Sunday against the Steelers.

**BREAKING** In signing his new tv contract for his family’s upcoming reality show “The Gronks!’ oft injured Rob Gronkowski dislocated his right wrist while signing the contract. Team doctors say he’ll be out 4-6 weeks.

Gronkowski is like a john Deere liquid fire 440 snowmobile I used to have, when it is working it is awesome but it seems to spend more time in the garage getting fixed.

I get the impression that he’s not exactly the best patient.

It does seem kinda silly comparing Gronk to Graham now doesn’t it?

    Gronk’s latest “owski”.

I think he is so gung ho about muscle building that his muscles have no strech in them. You watch him run and he is like a bull in a china shop. His falls are hurtfull.

This guy is an accident waiting to happen.

I don’t get it. Why are they forcing him to play these meaningless October preseason games. They need him in January, not now.

  12. nje22 says: Oct 30, 2013 7:24 PM

No way he finishes the season

This guy makes Darren McFadden look like the healthiest guy in the league.

On a side note: Patriots v Steelers? Man alive, that’s going to be one horribly unwatchable game. The Steelers are just garbage now, and the Patriots have stumbled their way to an ugly division lead in one of the ugliest divisions in the league now.

I freely admit as a Pats fan I thought he was dead that one time he landed right on his surgically repaired neck. Popped right up. I don’t think he’s soft, I just think this is the sort of stuff that happens when opposing teams are so concerned about you that they have roving 4-man squads designated to tackle you at all costs.

Chances are he’s playing in pain, but even if he weren’t, Belichick would not do as Goodell wants and let the other team know where to target his injured players

The bottom line is, when it comes to Belichick and the injury report, believe nothing. (and his players appreciate him watching their back like that)

he will be in a wheelchair by the time he’s 30… Unless he wakes up and realizes the significants of his back surgery

It’s always something with this guy on the field or off. He’s looking for attention and he will get it Sunday from Troy Pallamau. If Gronk thinks he’s hurting now just wait till Monday morning!

Gronkowski puts the fear of god into everyone he plays against. Wishful thinking that he won’t be there in crunch time this year. The NFL had a chance to knock the Patriots out in the first half of the season given all of their issues and injuries. It didn’t happen. The Patriots play best in the postseason when the have to earn their way into the playoffs. Gronkowski is back, Amendola is back, Vereen will be coming back. Talib and Kelly will be coming back. The young guys are getting acclimated. Austin Collie will show up big at some point this year because a savvy veteran no one else wanted always does for Belichick. If the Patriots have home field advantage (unlikely but possible) no one will want to play them in the playoffs. There is a reason why so many fans hate the Patriots. Their back. They’re always back.

The Giants will surge, get to the SB, play the Patriots and of course, win.

  25. steelersnowand4ever says: Oct 31, 2013 9:13 AM

As much as it pains me to say this, Gronk at 50 % is still better than anyone playing for the Steelers right now

Knuckleheads all! He’s a tough, tough guy who dishes out the punishment he takes. He’s had a bad run but he’ll finish the season and be a standout doing it. Talk to y’all in February to gloat about how right I was (and am).

Good stuff tigerlilac! With you on that.
