Okung, Giaocomini could be back at practice soon

Seattle’s problems at offensive tackle could soon be getting solved.

Coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday that left tackle Russell Okung could be back at practice as soon as Friday, six weeks after he was placed in short-term injured reserve with a case of turf toe.  Okung can return to game action as of Week 11.

Right tackle Breno Giacomini, who has been out since Week Three with a knee injury, could return to practice soon as well.

“Breno is chomping at the bit, he’s getting really close,” Carroll said, via comments distributed by the team.  “Breno is really day-to-day right now.  I would think by next week he would be pretty active in what’s going on.  So we’ll see what that means.  I can’t project it, but I think that’s what we’re looking forward to.”

The sooner Okung and Giacomini get back, the less likely that quarterback Russell Wilson will join them.  Sacked 13 times in the last two games, Wilson’s innate ability to absorb contact without getting injured eventually will betray him, if he keeps getting banged around.

These two returning plus Percy Harvin starting equals Super Bowl.

Giacomi is a dirty player, takes cheap shots in the pile, he will get it again, that’s how karma works, and trust me, Pete, you don’t have any good karma coming your way. Seahags will never win anything with Pete the cheat at the helm.

No QB is going to survive a quarter of a season playing the way the offensive line played on Monday night. They have had the same guys for 3 weeks and it hasn’t looked even close to that bad before, maybe the Texans game.

Breno coming back isn’t that big of a deal, he is a slight upgrade of Bowie but is not a great tackle by any means. Russell Okung on the other hand, I have said it many times will be huge impact. Even bigger for this offensive than Percy Harvin (A top 10 WR/talent in my eyes) returning.

Now if offensive line doesn’t block better at home this Sunday – Tom Cable’s head will be on a spike before the end of the day.
