Andy Dalton named AFC offensive player of month

Andy Dalton has one game left tonight, but so far, he’s been perfect in October so far.

The Bengals quarterback was named AFC offensive player of the month, after leading his team to a perfect 4-0 record, with a 116.8 passer rating in those games.

He’s thrown for 1,246 yards, 11 touchdowns and just three interceptions over that span, leading to wins over the Patriots, Bills, Lions and Jets.

“I’ve got a lot of great teammates to work with and I’ll take this award on behalf of all of them,” Dalton said. “Everybody deserves a piece of it, including the coaches who are putting everything together for us.”

At the moment, everything’s working perfectly, coming off a five-touchdown against the Jets. We’ll find out tonight if he can continue the streak against the AFC East, when they visit the Dolphins.

Good for him. I enjoyed watching him on Hard Knocks and he seems like a class guy.

Looks like the game is finally slowing down for him. Keep up the good work, kid.

This past Sunday…. Dalton didn’t even play the 4th quarter and finished with 325 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Stafford (488 yards), Manning (354 yards), and Brees (332 yards) were the only QBs with more yards (no one had more touchdowns) and all three played 4 quarters.

Congratulations to the kid and especially the best defensive coordinator the Ravens ever had, Marvin Lewis. There’s plenty of football left with nine games on our schedule, two of which are against Cincinnati. Those two games, especially the season finale, are going to have big time playoff implications.. The AFC North is still up for grabs. Looking forward to meeting you guys for some old fashion smash mouth football AFC North style. Baltimore is finally healthy with an upgraded offensive line and young emerging receivers. Cincinnati is the real deal this season so playing you guys should prove exciting. I follow you guys the way I used to follow the Steelers but they’re done for this season. But as they say in Pittsburgh “We got six rings”. Well Baltimore has dominated over the last five seasons and Cincinnati is the new bully on the block. From a die hard Raven fan, it’s on Bengal fans.

Because Jamaal Charles hasn’t gotten 100+ scrimmage yards per game or anything.
