Bengals activate wideout Andrew Hawkins

Andrew Hawkins AP

Call it a case of the rich getting richer.

Already boasting perhaps the hottest quarterback in the league at the moment, the Bengals added another weapon to the arsenal this morning.

According to Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bengals activated slot receiver Andrew Hawkins from injured reserve/designated for return today, and he’s eligible to play tonight against the Dolphins.

Hawkins injured his ankle in training camp, but after missing the minimum amount of time, he’s ready to return, filling the roster spot created when safety Taylor Mays went on season-ending injured reserve.

The Bengals have a wealth of weapons at the moment, with the emergence  of wide receiver Marvin Jones and tight end Tyler Eifert along with an already good group of targets.

But Hawkins caught 51 passes last year, and with Mohamed Sanu questionable with a shoulder injury, he could slide right back in.

Can’t wait to see baby hawk out there..especially with Giovanni already being a quick back. Defenses will have hard matchups

    Hooray!!!

A limited route 5’6″ 170 lb. #4 quality wide receiver is back.

Fellow Bengals fans, I love Baby Hawk … but… please stop pretending he is some All-Pro super weapon.

I tried to read the whole article, but my eyes started tearing up from laughter after reading that Dalton perhaps is the hottest QB in the league.

I’m glad they’re getting him back. I can’t imagine what my Ravens defense would do with all the speed Hawkins and Bernard possess. Getting to Dalton would be our only recipe for a close game because their defensed would not have issue with Flacco and the offense.

Hey crownofthehelmet I hope you realize Dalton was just named offensive player of the month. Not a stretch to consider him as one of the hottest quarterbacks in the NFL right now.

    ………………………
    1030 yds & 11 TD’s in the last 3 weeks.

Yeah you’re right, Dalton’s in a real drought lately.
