Packers wide receiver James Jones was a limited practice participant on Friday, head coach Mike McCarthy said, according to the club’s Twitter feed.
Jones has practiced on each of the last two days, albeit on a limited basis, after missing the last two games with a knee injury. He did not practice leading up to either of those games.
The Packers (5-2) host the Bears (4-3) on Monday night in Green Bay, giving Jones an extra day of rest if needed.
Jones has caught 20 passes for 349 yards and two touchdowns in five games this season.
In Jones’ absence, second-year receiver Jarrett Boykin has stepped up his game, catching a combined 13 passes for 192 yards in a pair of starts.
