The Eagles and Raiders combined for well over 500 yards of offense in the first half in Oakland, with the Eagles doing most of the damage and jumping out to a 28-10 lead.
The most stunning thing about the Philadelphia offense -- which has done nothing in the last two weeks -- was the way receiver Riley Cooper destroyed the Raiders’ secondary early in the game. The first three passes thrown to Cooper were a 42-yard gain, a 17-yard touchdown and a 63-yard touchdown.
On Philadelphia’s first four offensive drives, quarterback Nick Foles completed 14 of 16 passes for 256 yards and four touchdowns. That’s amazing.
The Raiders’ offense also looked pretty good. Terrelle Pryor opened the game going 9-for-13 for 152 yards, and he added 46 yards rushing on his first four carries. These teams aren’t great, but this game is getting good.
