No protesters spotted at FedEx Field

Earlier today, ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio reported that the Redskins have extra security behind their bench, for fear of protests against the team’s name — in the team’s home stadium.

Paolantonio has since reported that no protesters have been spotted in the stadium.  Per multiple reports, the Redskins separately have denied that any efforts have been made to increase security.

Still, Paolantonio reported, with video evidence, that a pair of Prince George’s County deputies were stationed behind the team’s bench.  And the deputies told ESPN that they were instructed to look for protesters.

The question remains whether the goal was to pull the plug on legitimate protests or to protect team personnel against protests that cross the line.

So… Is this a case of the media and “higher-ups” making a big deal out of something nobody cares about again?

  4. ss2k8 says: Nov 3, 2013 12:50 PM

Pretty sure the extra security was so that any protesters who did show up didn’t have the crap kicked out of them by fans if the Redskins started losing big..

Lol that would be an expensive protest. Those seats are not cheap.

No evidence of dissent will be tolerated; peaceful protests will not be allowed. It’s the same as when peaceful protesters of our never ending wars with the rest of the world are not allowed outside the gates of the white house. Police tell the protesters they must move because it “spoils the scenery for tourists who might want to take pictures of the white house.”

Interesting. Synder now employing police to squash the pitiful voices of reason.

Because there aren’t really many people that give a crap about the Redskins’ name. They won’t show up in force until they have a force to show.

The group that is fighting the Redskins’ name is a very small minority. Small, but vocal, and backed by a very liberal media that will make a mountain out of a molehill to sell a few more advertising dollars.

Anybody silly enough to protest the great name, Redskins, at FedEx Field would need security.

This is why Snyder is rich, he doesn’t care about what the .0001% of the people think.

Washington fans were however spotted with bags over their heads.

Bags they didn’t even bother cutting eye holes in because they can’t bear to watch.

There were 13 less protesters at the Redskins/Chargers game than at the Redskins/Packers game. (Hint: there were only 13 at the Redskins/Packers game)
Do the math. Time for the media to drop their Chase.

At the game yesterday, as I am at every REDSKINS home this year, and I can report that NO protesters were at the stadium.

    REDSKINS continue to WIN!
