Serious health situations for a pair of NFL coaches have yielded good news, so far.

With Texans coach Gary Kubiak released from a hospital today after suffering a transient ischemic attack during Sunday night’s game against the Colts, Broncos coach John Fox remains “on track” to a full and complete recovery a day after undergoing surgery to replace an aortic heart valve.

The surgery, originally set for Tuesday, happened Monday. A day later, he’s getting plenty of rest. Coach Fox actually was up and walking a bit today.

Jack Del Rio has been named the interim coach pending Fox’s return to Denver. No announcement has been made regarding Kubiak’s replacement, or whether he’ll miss Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.

We continue to extend our best wishes to Kubiak, Fox, and their families.
