Everyone on the Eagles benefitted from Nick Foles’ record-tying seven touchdown passes, but wide receiver Riley Cooper benefitted a bit more than most.
Cooper caught three of those touchdown passes and had five catches for 139 yards overall, his best day as a pro wide receiver. Tuesday hasn’t been quite as good a day for Cooper.
Sal Paolantonio of ESPN reports that Cooper has been sent home from Eagles practice. Given what happened with Cooper, racial slurs and angry teammates this summer, that grabs your attention but Tuesday’s absence has to do with strife inside Cooper’s body rather than strife inside the locker room.
“I don’t feel good. Might be stomach bug. Might be food poisoning. They don’t know,” Cooper said.
Assuming Cooper isn’t suffering from something more serious than it appears at the moment, he should be back on the field in time to face the Packers in Week 10.
