Arian Foster getting back problem checked out

After he was iffy all last week with a hamstring problem, Texans running back Arian Foster only made it one series before leaving Sunday night with a back injury.

Now, he’s getting it looked at again. Texans interim coach Wade Phillips said Foster was meeting with doctors Wednesday to get his back diagnosed, according to Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com.

Foster has been a bit of a mess all season, starting on the PUP list with a calf injury before the back and hamstring problems cropped up. He had a productive three-week stretch (341 yards) before he was unable to finish the Kansas City game.

If he’s out, it increases the burden on Ben Tate, who’s playing with four cracked ribs. Phillips said Tate indicated he’d be ready to go again this week.

This guy is NEVER healthy. I wouldn’t ever want him anywhere near my team…

I hate to say it, but I think Foster is done. Man is always injured since he got his contract. We should focus on the future. Too bad we wasted Tate as a trade. I think he is done too. Johnson looked promising on the upside.
