Greg Little says he was choked by James Ihedigbo

With all this talk of misconduct in the locker room, it’s easy to forget about all of the misconduct that occurs on the field.

Browns receiver Greg Little contends that he was choked on Sunday by Ravens safety James Ihedigbo.  Little points to the choking as reason for Little’s decision to rip Ihedigbo’s helmet off by the mask and throw it, Kyle Turley style.

“I know the ref was saying ‘let go of his face mask,’ but he was choking me, so I’m not [going to let go],” Little said, via Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.  “There’s a thin line between football and just morals and if you’re a man, you’re not going to let a guy spit in your face, and you’re not going to let a guy choke you.

“You’re not going to let a guy have [his] way with your kids or your family or your wife.  It’s just how it is.”

Little said he has yet to be notified of a fine, but that he has no regrets for his actions.

“If you’re going to take the game of football to where he took it to, I’ll meet you there,” Little said.

Ihedigbo hasn’t commented on the situation.  Maybe he was feeling a little salty after realizing he wasted his money on “pain” chips that are basically hologram stickers, which he purchased from the guy who claims he sold Ray Lewis deer antler spray.

    This is actually extremely believeable…

The Ravens are used to choking in games

Jonathan Martin would have let him choke him out, then complained about it 7 months later.

That made me laugh loud enough to get the attention of coworkers. I like it!

The still pic attached to the article in the link supports his claim. I would like to see video evidence of the play before rendering any blame.

  5. jcampol says: Nov 6, 2013 3:19 PM

Sounds like a bully. The ravens should suspend him indefinitely before it gets out of hand.

Greg Little is talking about morals? The guy that got suspended for an entire year in college?

Ah snap! He threatened a man’s life! Get him out of the league pronto! There is no place in the NFL for this guy!

    I like Greg Little now.

  11. DawgPound83 says: Nov 6, 2013 3:24 PM

There’s a video still that shows him being choked plain as day.

  12. wryly1 says: Nov 6, 2013 3:25 PM

Little lost his cool twice, but he lit up Ihedigbo for 7 catches for 122 yards.

  13. canedaddy says: Nov 6, 2013 3:26 PM

What’s with the Browns and these imagined attacks? First Ray Rice’s mystery spit and now Ihedigbo’s phantom strangulation. Interesting that these guys come up with these explanations long after the fact when they’re getting heat for crazy behavior and penalties. Hmmm…

didn’t know that winning super bowls is chocking… but that’s how the Browns fans view it.

I remember watching it in real time and being surprised when Ihedigbo was not penalized.

He once played on the Patriots and was a teammate of Aaron Hernandez. Just saying.

Good for you Greg Little! To me, we (the Browns) have lacked ATTITUDE since the team came back. Why? Just MY opinion here, no leadership whatsoever, from never having a plan in the front office to lack of field leaders….it’s NO damn wonder Cleveland is a joke to other teams, but I BOLDLY say no more! I can finally see a plan. I believe in Joe Banner and I (have been convinced so far) believe in Mike Lombardi. As far as Greg Little? He’s a dog, man! If you choke on a dog, what happens? ….he’s gonna bite. Again I say, good for you Greg Little. Oh, and good game Sunday too dude….

  21. kwjsb says: Nov 6, 2013 3:36 PM

If Goodell passes out “Bullying” fines and suspensions yet does nothing about Ravens safety James Ihedigbo’s choking Browns receiver Greg Little at the bottom of a pile last Sunday, will demonstrate that safety only counts when the public responds and is not a true issue for the league.

The Ravens are a bunch of posers now that Ray Ray is gone…they have now spit and choked a Browns player this year, just trying to intimidate…nice to see the Browns actually fighting back…that helmet toss by Little was well worth the 15 yards imo….the second one, I could have done without

This is where I’m left scratching my head. How on Earth does Greg Little’s wife and family even remotely factor into this situation at all? Should we now just go into a list of all the things we’re not going let another man get away with…

  29. jetsjetsjetsnow says: Nov 6, 2013 3:53 PM

The Old Timers must get a pretty good laugh at all this type of ‘reporting’. Stuff like this must have gone on like every play back then….

  30. thestrategyexpert says: Nov 6, 2013 3:58 PM

It’s NOT a foul unless the referee, or the person in charge of quality control oversight of the game – a person of whom which doesn’t exist, sees it.

  31. berniesboys says: Nov 6, 2013 4:04 PM

Greg usually chokes all by himself.

  32. bennyb82 says: Nov 6, 2013 4:12 PM

Family, kids, choking an opponent on the football field… It’s all the same…

  33. NoWearMan says: Nov 6, 2013 4:19 PM

FYI, no team that has lost to the Browns during the regular season has gone on to win the Super Bowl. Cool little factoid.

It’s called evolving and progressing as a society. Old timers also thought that segregation was ok too.

Just remember Ravens fans…There are no Ravens, without the Browns, Art Modell, and the city of Cleveland. Always remember that! The NFL realized what a great fanbase they had in Cleveland, that they had to bring them back in 3 seasons. It took how long for the NFL to come back to B’more? I say this, because it makes you guys mad! You mad bro?
