Fred Davis, inactive again

The Redskins tried to trade tight end Fred Davis.  They couldn’t find a taker.

And so Davis remains so far buried on the depth chart that he’s not playing.

Davis is inactive for Thursday night’s game in Minnesota; it’s the fourth straight game in which last year’s franchise-tagged tight end won’t play.

Also inactive are quarterback Rex Grossman, running back Chris Thompson, safety Jose Gumbs, linebacker Brandon Jenkins, guard Josh Ribeus, and nose tackle Chris Neild.

The good news for Davis is that he’s earning $58,823 per week to not play.

Why didn’t Washington just cut him?
…and Rex Grossman? I didn’t even know he was still in the league.

This must feel like ground hog day for Freddy. Fred a word of advice…..Stop talking to the media they will make you and the situation worse than it really is. Just shine at work!

Fred Davis needs to take a step back and figure out what has gone wrong with his career – while he still has one. There has been as much news about what Fred has been doing in his private life as the stuff he has done on the field. He has a lot of talent and potential and I really hope he gets his act together so he’ll land somewhere else and be able to be successful.

Still chuckling a bit about that trade posturing. Oh the little things in life.

Fascinating … Fred speaks out about an openly racist name, the next day/week he is getting shopped for a trade.

Question: Is he getting paid Franchise Tag money to be inactive??

I really don’t care what he does with his life. I have my own things to worry about. But if he can help the Skins then that’d be great. He must really annoy the coaches because this guy has talent.

that trial last summer when he represented himself was hilarious.

That would make sense. Native Americans don’t worship the same god as the rest of us…

For now, Fred’s smarter than most of us, making a quarter mil in four weeks without suiting up on game day. But Fred, this gravy train is going to run dry soon, and I hope you’ve stashed enough “gravy” to stay afloat!
