Report: Cowboys concerned about Dez Bryant back injury

Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant returned to limited participation in practice Thursday as he deals with a back injury that kept him from practicing on Wednesday.

According to Mike Fisher of FOXSportsSouthwest.com, the Cowboys are concerned that Bryant could be suffering from a bulging or herniated disc.

Bryant expects to play Sunday night against the New Orleans Saints and head coach Jason Garrett doesn’t believe it’s a big issue.

“It’s bothering him a little bit off and on,” Garrett said. “We don’t think it’s a significant deal.”

However, Bryant has dealt with back issues before in his four seasons with the Cowboys.and there is belief that this issue goes beyond just tightness or back spasms. If the injury forced Bryant to miss time, it would be a big blow to the Cowboys offense. Bryant is having his second straight productive season for Dallas with 51 catches for 705 yards and eight touchdowns through nine games and ranks in the top 10 of the league in all three categories.

Why are they concerned? According to all I read and heard last week, Dez is just a malcontent, poised on bringing down the empire.

So the shouldn’t miss him at all.

TO was crazy, but he lasted a long time playing the exact same style as dez, who can’t seem to stay healthy.

I read in the New York Times that Dez Bryant’s back injury was caused by all the knives that the media stabbed into his back.

Puhleeese. As long as the line holds up for the great Tony Romo, Romo will pick them apart with that #2 Offense in the entire league no matter who lines up. Well #1 if they can arrange the correct plays for him but Romo does best with what he has. America’s team has been getting the best of the Ain’ts lately. That will not change. Not even a bounty will save them. Romo will make you a superstar cause he is a Stat Machine! #americasteam

TO and Dez play the same position, but not even close in style. Dez plays like Adrian Peterson in a WR’s body. He enjoys contact. He looks to punish a DB if he can’t get around or past him. TO did not look to dole out punishment.

Does it matter? Any idea what Drew Breese is going to do to the Cowboys secondary? Drew’s going to wake up Sunday morning thinking its Christmas.
