McFadden, Hayden and four other Raiders ruled out

The Raiders will be leaving six players in Oakland when they hop on their flight to New Jersey for Sunday’s game against the Giants.

Coach Dennis Allen announced that running back Darren McFadden, cornerback D.J. Hayden, safety Tyvon Branch, tackle Tony Pashos, wide receiver Juron Criner and tackle Matt McCants have all been ruled out because of injuries.

The news on McFadden was expected as he missed practice all week with the recurrence of a hamstring injury that sidelined him earlier in the season. Rashad Jennings will take his place in the starting lineup.

Hayden injured his groin in practice on Wednesday and missed the rest of the week of practice. With Branch out as well, the Giants’ struggling offense will have a depleted secondary to try to use as a springboard toward better results.

Menelik Watson will start at right tackle for the Raiders with Pashos out. Steve Corkran of the Bay Area News Group reports Allen also said the team will elevate Jack Cornell from the practice squad to serve as depth on the offensive line.

McFadden out??? What a surprise. Rashad is better anyways – runs harder and actually knows how to pick a hole instead of running right into the backs of the linemen.

I feel like McFadden would miss time with a mosquito bite.

The good news is M. Watson is going to start. He was the best part because of the trade down in round 1. I wish Hayden was out last week. He has been horrible. Made Riley Cooper look like Calvin Johnson. McFadden of course he’s out…..

Almost forgot. About McFadden. Any chance the Raiders can borrow Richie Incognito to toughen him up??

Does it really matter who’s in or out?

And LOL @ McMarshmallow. Another total bust for the fade.

Not happy about Hayden being out but the Raiders chances for winning certainly improve with a slug like McFadden gone. I’m looking forward to when he’s totally gone from the team in 2014.

I have been riding the McFragile haters for years and now I just jumped on that same wagon. Players play with injuries all the time. Dmac aint hurt when he cashing in on the 60 mill he was paid! Time to draft another back. What the hell is up with Latavius Murray? Dont tell me we have another hang nail murray?

oh look at the jennings band wagon….I hope McFadden is out for a couple of weeks, and velhdeer stays out, and watson and wiz get hurt again…this way jennings as great as you all say he is, can use all that talent, pick those wide open holes to run hard through, and run behind those undrafted guys from the practice squad,, or behind the guys that were not in the league last year. GFR!

It apparently matters a great deal to you, since you seem to be obsessed with the Raiders to the point that you feel compelled to comment on every article pertaining to the Silver and Black. You should be more interested in Alex Smith’s chances of breaking the 10 TD barrier this season, but you aren’t.
