After sitting out Wednesday and Thursday with an ankle injury, Colts running back Trent Richardson is reportedly taking part in Friday’s workout.
According to Kevin Bowen of Colts.com, Richardson was stretching with teammates before Friday’s practice. Also, Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star reported that Richardson was indeed practicing.
The 22-year-old Richardson has rushed for just 248 yards on 83 carries in six games with Indianapolis since being acquired from Cleveland in September. The Colts surrendered their 2014 first-round selection in the trade.
Richardson and Donald Brown are the Colts’ top two running backs.
The Colts (6-2) are two games ahead of Tennessee in the AFC South. Indianapolis hosts St. Louis on Sunday.
