Mario Manningham good to go vs. Panthers

The most interesting aspect of the 49ers’ injury report for Sunday’s game against the Panthers is a player who isn’t on it: Mario Manningham.

Manningham, the receiver who hasn’t played since tearing his ACL on December 23, is not listed on the injury report at all. If there were any possibility of his knee injury keeping him out of Sunday’s game, the 49ers would at least need to list him as probable.

The 49ers activated Manningham from the physically unable to perform list this week. He’s expected to be on a snap count, but that’s more a matter of conditioning than concern that his knee is structurally weak.

San Francisco could use a third threat in the passing game; after No. 1 receiver Anquan Boldin and tight end Vernon Davis, their next-leading receiver is fullback Bruce Miller, who has just 13 catches for 158 yards.
