Eagles quarterback Nick Foles likes throwing the ball to wide receiver Riley Cooper.
Cooper caught three of Foles’ seven touchdown passes last week and he’s got two of the three that Foles has thrown this Sunday against the Packers. Cooper’s second touchdown of the game, a 32-yard strike, came with 10 seconds left in the third quarter and extended the Eagles’ lead to 27-10. Cooper’s other touchdown opened up the scoring in the second half and the Eagles were able to add to their lead after linebacker DeMeco Ryans picked off a deflected pass.
Tolzien rallied back to lead the Packers to a touchdown, but the Eagles continued to operate quickly. They’ve had the ball for just over 14 minutes through three quarters, but have rolled up 349 yards and are getting points when the opportunities come their way.
The Packers will have to come up with some lightning strikes of their own in the fourth quarter or they’ll find themselves in second place in the NFC North.
