Roddy White ready to go against Seahawks

The wait for Roddy White in Atlanta has come to an end.

The Falcons wide receiver played in 133 consecutive games to start his career before missing the last three contests with a hamstring injury. White’s absence coincided with the loss of Julio Jones, leaving the Falcons offense without two of its biggest weapons as they fell to 2-6.

There’s only the slimmest chance that they could turn that record around and make the playoffs, but having a healthy and active White, who battled an ankle injury before succumbing to the hamstring, keeps it alive a little longer.

If it flickers beyond Sunday’s date with the Seahawks, it will likely mean that Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman was a bit too dismissive of White’s ability to make plays. White had 76 yards and a touchdown in the playoff date between the teams last season, helping the Falcons win and advance to the NFC Championship Game.
