Steelers up 10-3 at halftime over Bills

If Ben Roethlisberger has plenty left in the tank, it’s not necessarily high test.

But even running on fumes, he might be enough today.

The Steelers are up 10-3 on the Bills at halftime, as Roethlisberger threw a touchdown just before the end of a messy half.

Roethlisberger, whose agent had to dispute reports he wanted out of Pittsburgh earlier in the day, got off to a slow start. An early interception by Bills safety Jairus Byrd got his side out to a 3-0 lead, and it looked like it might stand up. There was much punting, but the Steelers showed some ability to run the ball.

That allowed Roethlisberger to use play-action with effect, and he found Jerricho Cotchery for a 5-yard touchdown pass.

The Bills have been unimpressive as well. E.J. Manuel is 6-of-13 passing for 43 yards, a less-than-stellar performance after missing a month with a knee injury.
