Kenny Vaccaro says he’ll miss Week 11 with a concussion

The Saints beat the Cowboys by a comfortable 49-17 margin on Sunday night, but they did suffer one loss in their secondary.

Safety Kenny Vaccaro posted on Instagram that he will miss the team’s Week 11 date with the 49ers after suffering a concussion against Dallas. Vaccaro suffered the injury while trying to tackle Cowboys tight end Jason Witten in the second half and did not return after Witten’s knee collided with his helmet at the end of the play.

It’s the second concussion that Vaccaro has suffered this season. He was previously injured in the team’s victory over the Bills, but didn’t miss any games as a result of that injury.

Vaccaro’s been an integral part of the team’s defense since they selected him in the first round, so his absence will be a noticeable one. It will be a less painful one if Roman Harper and/or Malcolm Jenkins can make it back into the lineup. Both were out against the Cowboys, but they practiced last week and could be in the mix for a return to the lineup against the 49ers.

This guy is a baller but it’s upsetting to see him suffering two concussions in not even his first full season.
Such is life in the NFL.

Some of the locals were questioning Kenny’s letting this info out on social media instead of keeping it secret until the injury report. But, someone suggested that it is now NFL protocol that dictates what happens after the 2nd concussion during the same season. That is, players are required to be benched after the 2nd one. Can anyone confirm that these are the new rules? Just wondering.

Don’t worry about it who dat nation, frisco’s rookie safety will probably be out with his second concussion, as well.

I guess he’s not too great at “coming with some knuckles”

Saints will be smart and let Vaccaro recover from his 2nd concussion.

Little Jimmy Harbaugh on the other hand will strap up Eric Ried and tell him he’s good to go and they need him to avoid another back to back loss this season.

When asked late today, Vaccaro denies he made such a statement………Proof that he is in fact Concussed.

Wow…Seahawk fans making fun of concussions for other teams. Classy straight out of Seattle.

yea this is troublesome. U gotta love vacaros style of play. Flies around and lays hits, but if this concussion problem persists, hes not gonna be with the saints or the nfl for that long

Yeah I don’t ever want to read another Seahack post about Niners chiming in on their articles and being “obsessed” with their team. Look no further than the last three articles for blatant hypocrisy about these fair weather hacks.

As for Vacarro, get healed and get ready to play in Seattle and beat those overrated hacks.
