NFL suspends Jaguars linebacker LaRoy Reynolds

Reynolds AP

Not every guy who cheats ends up having huge stats.

Case in point:  The NFL has suspended Jaguars linebacker LaRoy Reynolds four games for violating the league’s policy of performance-enhancing substances.

Reynolds, an undrafted free agent, appeared in all nine games this season, making a total of six tackles.

He’ll be eligible to return on Friday, December 6, following the team’s Thursday night game against the Texans.

Which reminds us that the 2-7 Texans will play the 1-8 Jaguars on Thursday night in four weeks.

Maybe he misread the dosage instructions and was taking weekly amounts that were supposed to be daily? I don’t really know how this cheating stuff works though so maybe I should stay out of this arena.

    Wamp Wamp!

His “huge stat” is that he made it onto the final 53 of an NFL roster, and made the $ that goes with that.

Ask him if he’s worth it, and he’d probably say yes.

This guy was undrafted. Maybe the roids he took was the difference in him making the roster or not. Since he’s still going to get paid for 12 games, it was worth it.

The rest of the Jaguars were confused and took performance unenhancing drugs.

Even win the jags win, they lose.

Great – in plenty of time for the, uh, playoffs.

Answer this question honestly. Let’s say it was your lifelong dream to play in the NFL. After college, your talents are borderline at best of making a roster. You’re not drafted. An opportunity comes along to take PED’s to help you make the team and hundreds of thousands of dollars. Otherwise, you are out of luck. As a 21 year old, what would you do? I do not condone PED’s at all, but I am actually surprised that more of these 4th stringers barely holding on to a job aren’t caught doing this more often than the stars we see get caught.

Cheating is cheating. You’re taking up space that could be used by a player who’s doing it the clean way. That and it’s lazy. People actually work hard to make a team roster, why are you taking shortcuts?

Wow. The point of my comment totally went over your head. I never said it wasn’t immoral or that it wasn’t cheating. I was simply stating that I am surprised there aren’t more stories like this. You can come down off your soapbox now. Good job.

That’s it! Jags aren’t making the playoffs.

I am stunned to find out that other teams than the Patriots cheat. Who would’ve thunk it?

    Well, there goes the season.
