The placing of quarterback Jake Locker on injured reserve wasn’t the only move made by the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday.
The Titans also released veteran offensive linemen Pat McQuistan while signing center Kevin Matthews and adding receiver Devon Wylie to their active roster from the practice squad.
McQuistan had been signed by Tennessee on October 30 after the team placed center Rob Turner on injured reserve. McQuistan was inactive for both games he was on the roster with the Titans.
Wylie appeared in six games for the Kansas City Chiefs last season catching six passes for 53 yards. Wylie is getting called up as added depth as a receiver and returned as Damian Williams is likely out for Thursday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts with a hip injury.
Matthews returns to the Titans after originally signing with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2010.
