Falcons add veteran tackle Sean Locklear

New York Giants' Bradshaw vaults Green Bay Packers' Hawk on his way to a touchdown in their NFL game in East Rutherford Reuters

The Falcons put their best tackle on injured reserve earlier this week, but they found a replacement with some experience.

The team announced they signed veteran Sean Locklear, after putting left tackle Sam Baker on IR with knee problems.

Locklear filled in at tackle for 10 games for the Giants last year, but his shot at free agency was ruined by a knee injury late in the year. He spent seven years in Seattle, and has 92 starts in the league.

The Falcons have been struggling with protection all year, among other things. Locklear, if well, could add something to the line, even if it’s too late to fix the bigger problems.

Sean Locklear, classic! Just hope that he doesn’t choke his wife!

I’m guessing it’s hard to Falcon fans to get excited about Sean Locklear.
