On Tuesday, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger talked for the third straight day about the talk that he could be traded. He said at the time that he’d talk about it no more.

On Wednesday, he talked about not wanting to talk about it again. Twice.

“To me it’s about this game and things like that take away from this team and what we’re trying to do,” Roethlisberger reporters covering the Steelers, via Scott Brown of ESPN.com. “It’s a non-issue with me because it’s silly so it’s not worth addressing, and to me the focus is on this week and the Detroit Lions.”

Roethlisberger had a similar message for reporters covering the Lions, who’ll play the Steelers this weekend.

“It’s so ridiculous,” Roethlisberger said, via Brown. “I just talked to our guys that I’m not even going to address it because what it does is it takes away from what we’re trying to do and that’s win this football game and that’s all that matters to me. So to me, it makes me so mad I don’t even want to address it anymore.”

With that, he should be done addressing the issue of not wanting to address it. Until the offseason, that is, when the Steelers try to address his contract and Roethlisberger addresses to the team a desire to be paid among the highest-compensated players in the game, which at that point could cause the Steelers to explore moving him to a new address.
