It’s looking more and more like 2013 is going to be a lost season for Packers cornerback Casey Hayward.

Hayward missed the first six games of the season with a hamstring injury and then suffered an aggravation of the injury during the Week 10 loss to the Eagles. On Thursday, coach Mike McCarthy said, via Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, that Hayward will miss multiple weeks as a result.

That leaves Sam Shields, Tramon Williams, Davon House and Micah Hyde at corner for the Packers for this weekend’s date with the Giants. They’ll be trying to do a better job of getting the Packers defense off the field late in games while also trying to exploit Eli Manning’s penchant for turning the ball over.

McCarthy also said tackle Don Barclay isn’t feeling as good as the team hoped he’d feel after suffering a knee injury last weekend. Center Evan Dietrich-Smith has been practicing after his own knee injury, so any shuffling up front will likely be more limited than it was last weekend.
