Colts score 14 points in under a minute to take lead over Titans

The Indianapolis Colts continued their trend of digging a big first half hole they had to dig out of in falling behind the Tennessee Titans 14-0 on Thursday night.

But Indianapolis scored 14 points in less than a minute – taking advantage of a Titans’ special teams turnover – to take the lead for the first time over Tennessee.

Trailing 17-6 at half, the Colts got the ball to start the third quarter.

Andrew Luck led the Colts on an 11-play, 74-yard scoring drive capped by a 6-yard touchdown run from Donald Brown to pull within four at 17-13.

Devon Wylie, who had been promoted from the Titans’ practice squad earlier this week, fumbled the ensuing kickoff. The loose ball was recovered by reserve running back Dan Herron at the Tennessee 20-yard line.

Luck hit Stanley Havili for nine yards and then scored himself to take the lead. Luck tried to throw a quick screen but Titans’ defensive end Derrick Morgan jumped into the throwing lane. Luck pulled the ball down and took off running and walked in for an 11-yard touchdown to give the Colts a 20-17 lead.

The pair of touchdowns came 57 seconds apart.

Every week it is becoming more and more apparent that the refs are there to contribute to the “production value” of games.

If Fitzpatrick’s beard could throw passes, I would be more comfortable with it than his sucky arm!

This is how half of Indy’s games have gone this season…

They overachieve, which isn’t a bad thing, but it’s why they are about two or three years from really contending.

Lol Donald Brown of course starts playing out of his mind after they give up a 1 for Trent. Ridiculous.

The Colts are the best team in the NFL. That is a fact. I predicted they would beat the Shehawks and 69ers as well as the Bronc-ho’s. All of their losses have come because they wanted to help the other teams mess up their respective divisions. The Colts are the best no doubt about it. HATE ON!!!!!
