Terrelle Pryor back on the practice field for Raiders

AP

Terrelle Pryor was back Thursday, but they’re making sure they have a backup plan, in case his knee’s still a problem.

According to Scott Bair of CSNBayArea.com, the Raiders quarterback was back to practice Thursday, after taking Wednesday to rest his knee.

Pryor split reps with the first team with Matt McGloin, after his rookie backup took all the work yesterday.

If Pryor gets through a day of work without complications, it’s a good sign for Sunday’s game with the Texans, though they admitted early in the week his MCL sprain was more problematic than they anticipated.

  1. Don’t be too hasty in writing this kid off. He’s working hard on his game and want’s to be a legit QB. An NFL caliber O-Line might help.

  2. @r8rsfan

I hear you but he has been looking a bit too much like Tim Tebow lately.

Granted, the worse thing on the Raiders have is that O-Line. Not many could survive behind that bunch.

  3. Pryor needs to step it up, but playing behind a 3rd string Oline does not help.

    Getting Veldheer back will help.

Olsen calling a better game would not hurt (get the ball to Reece).

50/50 chance the Raiders win @ houston, but only a 20% chance of that.

    Go Raiders

  4. Kid looked pretty accurate until others on the o-line got hurt. After that the team offense became one dimensional and the opps have gone after Pryor.

This kid needs an o-line or it will be more of the same the rest of the season.

  5. you can talk that o-line crap if you want, let’s talk about throwing across your body or running out of bounds for a 3 yard loss instead of throwing it away or how about just chucking it up in the air for anyone to catch? gotta watch the games and not you tube or espn high lights to see….

  6. I can only hope Pryor continues to develop, and Clowney continues to drop in the draft. ( if not Notre Dame has some d-lineman that could help)

Most pathetic team in NFL history.

I believe the last two letters of the handle might betray his true affinity.

As to pryor I’m about ready to move on from this kid and hope the team drafts that kid Carr out of fresno. Accuracy is a must if you’re gonna be a good QB, and Pryor seems to struggle with it.

  8. Yea I’m getting tired of ppl blaming his play on the o-line don’t get me wrong it plays a big roll but this guy can’t read the D his awareness is off point and idk but it makes me sick to my stomach seeing this guy in shot gun run back twenty more yards and take a sack I agree QB shopping in march wouldn’t hurt nothing at all I just don’t see Pryor taken us to the promise land he’s athletic but just not a QB #RaiderNation

Exactly, the last thing I want to see is 10+ years of excuses like Mike Vick.

He can’t read a defense, period.

crap…that is exactly what that o-line is, and we all saw what happened to flynn behind that o-line. no body has achance behind that line except for maybe vick and pryor. raider fans are funny. you guys are putting a fork in everybody that has shown talent, and say nothing about the real reasons. ..lets get real Reggie is spending 30 million on actual players this year, which really means no o-line, no receivers, and no tight ends….. We are rebuilding…get real
