49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick had a miserable day all around against the Panthers.

The 49ers lost as Kaepernick threw for 91 yards and was sacked six times in a performance that led to criticism from Trent Dilfer of ESPN among others. And now his no good day is actually costing him some money.

PFT has confirmed with the league that Kaepernick has been fined for $7,875 for grabbing the facemask of Panthers linebacker A.J. Klein while trying to evade a sack. Kaepernick didn’t avoid the sack and the Panthers wound up declining the penalty called on Kaepernick.

A hit on Kaepernick also drew a fine from the league. Panthers safety Quintin Mikell was fined $7,875 as well for hitting a sliding Kaepernick in the third quarter of the game.
