Mike Pouncey hasn’t testified in Massachusetts, yet

Pouncey AP

Nearly three weeks ago, Dolphins center Mike Pouncey received a post-game subpoena following a loss to the Patriots.  It was a command to appear before a grand jury reportedly investigating the involvement of former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez in the trafficking of illegal weapons.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Pouncey has not yet testified.

It’s unclear when he’ll appear before the grand jury for the purposes of answering questions under oath.  It’s also unknown whether he is viewed as a target of potential charges.

What is known is that, between the Hernandez situation and the ongoing Jonathan Martin controversy, Pouncey has plenty of things on his plate right now — none of which are all that appetizing.

I don’t think he is sitting up at night worrying about the Johnathon Martin story

I don’t think that Pouncey or his brother are very bright as evidenced by the whole “hat” incident. I hope he has a good criminal defense attorney.

Mike Pouncey’s next move will be to check himself into a hospital with bully claims against the state’s Prosecutor in the Hernandez case.

Pouncey doesn’t seem to be smiling now wearing the Free Hernandez hats. If he doesn’t show up to testify, there will be one road game next season that he will not be able to attend.

To quote the famous ‘unnamed AFC East rival scout’:

“Do these guys do background checks?”

So an accusation of “bullying” will get you suspended indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team but an accusation of murder and gun-running won’t?

So you can type words but not read them? There is no accusation or charges suggesting that Pouncey is involved in murder or gun-running (at least, yet).

I have a hard time thinking he is going to get into too much trouble….they are looking for dirt on A Hernandez and scouring through “every known associate”, with that being said this Pouncey brother might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer….

This team (particularly o-line) is imploding…wake me up when next season starts.

The new GM and Head Coach in Miami next year will want to move Pouncey, too. Another piece of the housecleaning that must be done, whether he can play or not.

It’s awful early but, you can see at least this one and perhaps both Pouncey brothers starting to gather attention for all the wrong reasons. Some people just can’t be saved from themselves.

I love Pouncey, may he prevail..
