Hogan finally gets his chance

Hogan

Known during last year’s Hard Knocks as 7-Eleven because he was “always open” during Dolphins training camp, receiver Chris Hogan will get an extended chance to show that he can do it during a game that counts.

With Stevie Johnson and Robert Woods out for the Bills on Sunday, Hogan and Marcus Easley will be expected to fill the void.

Via Chris Brown of the team’s official website, Hogan is expected to fill in for Johnson in the slot, with Easley lining up outside.

For the season, Hogan has appeared in all 10 games. He has four catches for 34 yards.

“I’ve played a little bit here and there pretty much all season, but I got a decent amount of playing time last week, so it’s a bigger load for Hogan and I and we’re next up,” Easley said. “So we’ve got to step up.”

The Bills will need all the stepping up they can get, with the 5-4 Jets coming to town. For Hogan, it’s a chance to step out and get noticed they way he did in August 2012.
