It’s a good day for the No. 1 receivers and a bad day for the secondaries in Pittsburgh.

Steelers receiver Antonio Brown got today’s game started with two first-quarter touchdowns as Pittsburgh jumped out to a big lead, but Lions receiver Calvin Johnson answered with two second-quarter touchdowns as Detroit got back into it before halftime.

Both Ben Roethlisberger and Matthew Stafford surpassed 200 yards well before halftime as well, and this game is shaping up to be a shootout. Late in the second quarter, the score is 20-17 Pittsburgh.

Well that and the steelers just suck.

Actually statistically the steelers are one of the better pass defenses in the league. But if you want to cover Calvin without a deep safety, well, he will average roughly one TD per quarter.

As soon as the Lions got over 17 points this became an unwinnable game for the Steelers. It’s been that way two years and counting now.

Unless the Steeler defense carries Roethlisberger on its shoulder and drags him across the finish line the Steelers don’t win.

Roethlisberger is never going to win any shootouts, but please bring up ONE obscure game from eight years ago where he managed to get 30 points.

@citizenstrange: Okay where are all you trash talkers now. Steelers D came to life in second quarter and Ben won the game by outplaying Stafford. So there is your last game in 8 yrs loser idiot.
