Chargers haven’t won in Miami since historic playoff game

NFL fans old enough to remember the 1981 playoffs remember where they were during an epic playoff game between the Chargers and Dolphins.

As Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego points out, the Chargers haven’t won in Miami since that overtime victory capped by teammates helping an exhausted Kellen Winslow off the field.

Since then, the Chargers have lost six straight games to the Dolphins in Miami, seven if we include Super Bowl XXIX.

Chargers fans would likely not include it, if only to not remember it.

Since the Dolphins are just about looking in the parking lot for big bodies for their offensive line, look for that streak to end today.

The only thing more amazing than the Chargers making a Super Bowl is Bobby Ross leading a team to the Super Bowl.

I remember the Bengals beating the Chargers in their next game after their win in Miami (Freezer Bowl -coldest NFL game – wind chill).

Bengals kicked off at the beginning of the game and after halftime.

    27-7

Interestingly…. the Bengals next game is against San Diego in Cincinnati.
