The Jets decided to go to Dave and Busters for some fun on Saturday night rather than have their normal offensive and defensive meetings before Sunday’s game against the Bills.
Judging by the easy 37-14 Buffalo win, it may not have been the wisest choice in terms of preparation or in terms of inspiration for the Bills. Center Eric Wood said that “not much” was said about the Jets’ field trip before the game because nothing needed to be said about something so in your face. Defensive tackle Kyle Williams said that the team would find somewhere else to celebrate the victory.
“I think we’ll stay off of Dave and Busters. It didn’t work out very well for the other team that had a party there,” Williams said, via Kimberly Jones of NFL Network.
Mike Rodak of ESPN.com reports coach Doug Marrone said he heard the report but didn’t say anything to the team about it. It doesn’t seem like there was much need to point it out and the Bills certainly struck a blow for staying in on Saturday night with their Sunday afternoon performance.
