Matt McGloin’s first pass of the day is a touchdown

With Terrelle Pryor out, the Raiders turned to Matt McGloin at quarterback on Sunday and McGloin has already done something that Pryor hasn’t done since October 13th.

McGloin threw a five-yard touchdown pass to Denarius Moore on his first throw of the day to stake the Raiders to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. Pryor’s last touchdown pass came in the Raiders’ 24-7 loss to the Chiefs more than a month ago.

The Raiders ran the ball the six other times they snapped the ball, with one called back for a penalty, so they clearly aren’t going to put the game in McGloin’s hands if they can avoid it. They were able to do that because Texans tight end Garrett Graham failed to keep the ball in his hands after catching a pass from Case Keenum.

Safety Charles Woodson knocked the ball loose, setting the Raiders up in great field position that McGloin was able to turn into seven points.

I really thought they were going to run on every play. Apparantly, so did the Texans.

Looks like to me the Texans have tanked for this season. They Suck!!! They might get the #1 Pick in the draft, Jacksonville might beat the Cardinals and TB, well they might get lucky and win 2 more games.

Now he has 2 TD passes. this kid has what it takes to play big time QB in the NFL. give him a real offensive line and a running game with a top notch TE and he can win lots of games for the Raiders. I would move T Pryor to WR and hire Jerry Rice to coach him. he could be the next Randy Moss in 2 years.

Lol here we go again with more false hope for raider fans. That’s twice in 3 weeks. First they thought their defense was legit, now after their drought of offense, watching the new QB toss 2 td’s must feel good. But the problem with you raider fans is you should stop looking at outliers as if it was a regular occurence. It would at least help you guys cope with the inevitable let down more easily. (we don’t need you guys to get irritated and stabby stabby)
