As the Eagles prepared to try to win a game at home for the first time since September 30, 2012, it’s not surprising that fans of the visiting team would be tempted to claim Lincoln Financial Field as their own.
That’s precisely what a Washington fan did before Sunday’s game against the Eagles, unfurling a “This is Redskins Country” flag near one of the tunnels.
Enter Eagles running back LeSean McCoy, who ripped the flag away from the fan, balled it up, and threw it on the ground.
The development came after McCoy showed up at the game wearing a Raiders vest, which presumably none of McCoy’s teammates ripped off of him.
Chances are the league office will consider ripping a little money out of McCoy’s pocket.
