Tony Gonzalez doesn’t practice much, but he’ll play

Gonzalez

There are certain players who don’t need a week’s practice to get ready for a game.

Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez is obviously among them.

Gonzalez basically took training camp off as well, so not having him fully available is nothing new. He was out most of this week with a toe injury, though he did some limited work Friday and was listed as questionable for today’s game against the Buccaneers.

Gonzalez hasn’t missed a game since 2006, and the Falcons need him badly. He’ll be joined on the field by wide receiver Harry Douglas, who missed two days of practice with a knee injury.
