Walden review commences Monday morning

Colts linebacker Erik Walden could indeed be hearing from the league office soon regarding his Thursday night head butt to an unhelmeted Delanie Walker.

Per a league source, the review of Walden’s hit on Walker for a penalty will commence on Monday morning.

If a suspension is coming, it’ll likely happen early in the week, so that Walden will have a chance to fight it.  For Sunday games, practice in earnest begins on Wednesday of each week; the Colts travel to Arizona next weekend.

As one source with knowledge of the process has explained it to PFT, the visual evidence doesn’t necessarily tell the whole story.  More evidence could come to light during the appeal process, which is one of the purposes of the appeal process.

Regardless, it’s hard to give much credence to the NFL’s efforts to protect brains if swift and severe action isn’t taken against Walden.

Walden only got 1 game for smacking around his wife/girlfriend. He’ll get fined for this.
