The Patriots will have cornerback Aqib Talib back in the lineup Monday night at Carolina.

Talib, who was questionable with a hip injury, is active. The well-regarded cover cornerback had missed the Patriots’ previous three games.

The Patriots will also have the services of running back Shane Vereen, who’s back on the active roster after eight games out with a wrist injury.

While Vereen and Talib return, the Patriots will not have cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (knee) and safety Steve Gregory (knee), who are officially inactive after previously being ruled out.

The Patriots’ other inactives are running backs Brandon Bolden and Leon Washington, offensive lineman Chris Barker, linebacker Steve Beauharnais and defensive lineman Jake Bequette.
