Redskins end Adam Carriker’s season before it gets started

Defensive end Adam Carriker will not play for the Washington Redskins this season.

According to Zac Boyer of the Washington Times, the Redskins have moved Carriker to the reserve/physically unable to perform list on Tuesday.

Carriker had another surgery in July on the injured quadriceps that cost him 14 games in 2012. He was placed on the PUP list prior to training camp, forcing him to miss the first six weeks of the season. He has been eligible to return to practice for the Redskins but still hasn’t been healthy enough to get on the field.

Carriker would have had to return to practice this week to be eligible to return from the PUP list this season. Washington would have had three weeks for him to practice with the team before having to elevate him to the active roster on end his season. With Carriker still unable to practice, it became apparent he wasn’t going to be able to provide an impact this season.

And RG3andout’s career will be over by the time the Redskins would be able to pick in the first round again. #NotTonyRomoTough #NeedsToStayBehindHisLineMore
